Purchasing of Foreign Currency (GBP/ Euro/ Dollars/Rands and all Major Currencies )
We can provide Rands or Dollars against Metical, at your request for payments in foreign currency to be made in Mozambique.
We can also sell foreign currency for payments overseas. In this case, the purchase FX amount will be kept in your account, waiting for documentation to pay overseas/or the use of advance payments.
Considering that the Rand is volatile, we can sell Dollars against Metical and make forward contracts
Dollar/Rand.
In the case of your company - Mozambique buying Forex from other banks, SBM cannot make sure that the transfer of funds from other banks to SBM will arrive on expected dates, as there is no formal settlement system at Central Bank for foreign currency.
