Standard Bank maintains spot as Africa’s most valuable banking brand

The Standard Bank Group has for the second year in a row been independently ranked as the most valuable banking brand in Africa

according to the 2012 global Top 500 Banking Brands report compiled by valuation consultancy and asset manager BrandFinance Banking. The definitive report is published in the leading global banking journal, The Banker.According to the report, Standard Bank’s brand is worth US$2.17billion. This has seen us jump up three places in the world rankings, from position 76 in 2011 to position 73. It also means that we maintain our top spot as the highest ranked brand on the continent.The most valuable banking brand in Africa recognition adds to a growing list of prestigious awards in recognition of building a successful brand on the African continent. Economic Briefing 2013: Mozambique, a story of growth

Under the theme “Mozambique, a story of growth”, Standard Bank held on 18 April at the Hotel Polana in Maputo, the usual Economic Briefing, to provide its clients and the national market with trends of the national and global economy in order to guide them in decision making, in addition to show the “expertise” of the Bank in various specialty areas.

Standard Bank in the SME Conference

Standard Bank was represented at the conference by a stand to promote and sell products and services. The conference was on “Opportunities of credit for investment in SMEs-Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and the role of insurance,” which occurred on April 18, at the Joaquim Chissano Conference Centre in Maputo.
