Pay your water bill through QuiQ and NetPlus

On Tuesday, February 20th in Maputo, Standard Bank and the Maputo Regional Water Company (AdeM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for water bills payment through QuiQ and NetPlus / Business Online (BOL).

Under this memorandum, private and corporate clients of the two institutions, living in the municipalities of Maputo, Matola and Boane will be able to make payments in the comfort of their homes or offices through the Bank’s digital channels, without additional fees or commissions charge.

Whilst the payment through QuiQ can be done by simply typing * 555 # in any mobile phone, entering the PIN and select the Payments option; NetPlus / BOL can only be accessed through computer or mobile device with internet access, customers must access the platform with their credentials, select the Payments option and intuitively move forward.

For Standard Bank's managing director, Chuma Nwokocha, the completion of this partnership shows the bank's commitment on meeting the needs of its customers, improving its service experience day by day.

In fact, as said by the managing director during the signing of the memorandum, this service will allow customers to make quick, easy, secure, remote payments and at any time .

"For us, this is a significant step in our path, always focusing on our customers, providing them with the sources and solutions to transact in a simple, practical and safe way," said Chuma Nwokocha.

In addition, AdeM's Chairman José Ferrete seconded Chuma Nwokocha, adding that the partnership will allow the company's customers to pay their water bills more quickly, easily, safely and comfortably.

"All the facilities to bring customers closer to the company will help stabilize not only the situation of customers but also the situation of the company itself," said José Ferrete.

In their speeches the two leaders were unanimous in calling on society to reflect on how to save and conserve more water, at a time when Maputo and its surroundings are experiencing a worsening of water supply restrictions due to the drought in region.
