How can you open a Business Account

Provisional Account

 

  • Letter from the client requesting to open an account

  • Letter from the client confirming the residential address of all the signatories on the account

  • Copies of Passport, DIRE, Diplomatic Passport, ID for Mozambican Nationals of all the signatories on the account

  • Project of the Articles of Association

  • Certificate of company name search

  • Power of attorney (when applicable)

  • Bank forms

  • passport photo of each signatory on the account

  • Utility Bill evidencing company’s residential address (TDM, TV Cabo, EDM)

 

Resident Account

 

  • Bank forms

  • Letter from the client requesting to open an account

  • Letter from the client confirming the residential address of all the signatories on the account

  • Articles of Association published on the Bulletin of the Republic (Official Gazette) or a notarised copy.

  • Certificate of Commercial Registry (Certificate of Incorporation) (validity within 6 months from the date of certification)

  • License to operate in Mozambique

  • Copies of Passport, DIRE, Diplomatic Passport, ID for Mozambican

  • Nationals of all the signatories on the account

  • Board Resolution granting power to the signatories of the account

  • Tax number

  • Power of Attorney if applicable

  • Utility Bill evidencing company’s residential address (TDM, TV Cabo, EDM)

  • passport photo of each signatory on the account

Economic Briefing 2013: Mozambique, a story of growth

Under the theme “Mozambique, a story of growth”, Standard Bank held on 18 April at the Hotel Polana in Maputo, the usual Economic Briefing, to provide its clients and the national market with trends of the national and global economy in order to guide them in decision making, in addition to show the “expertise” of the Bank in various specialty areas.

Standard Bank in the SME Conference

Standard Bank was represented at the conference by a stand to promote and sell products and services. The conference was on “Opportunities of credit for investment in SMEs-Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and the role of insurance,” which occurred on April 18, at the Joaquim Chissano Conference Centre in Maputo.
