Standard Bank provides books to ISCTEM

Standard Bank awarded the Institute of Science and Technology of Mozambique (ISCTEM)

winner of the fashion contest of the 2011 edition of the Mozambique Fashion Week called “MFW School/My School is in Fashion”, with several books estimated at USD $ 10.000.

The prize giving ceremony was held during a press conference that took place on 27 January,in Maputo, where DDB, the event organizer, announced the official closure of the MFW that counted with Standard Bank as one of the main sponsors.

Speaking on the occasion, the Head of the Standard Bank Marketing Department, Sandra Zumbire saluted ISCTEM for winning the MFW School contest and said that “the MFW exceeded our expectations and therefore the organization is also to be congratulated. However, we hope that this year’s event will bring us more surprises and for that, we commit ourselves now to once again support the MFW and its projects in schools”.

On his turn, Vasco Rocha, director of DDB, made a positive evaluation of the present edition, underlining the objectives of this event and its various components.

Economic Briefing 2013: Mozambique, a story of growth

Under the theme “Mozambique, a story of growth”, Standard Bank held on 18 April at the Hotel Polana in Maputo, the usual Economic Briefing, to provide its clients and the national market with trends of the national and global economy in order to guide them in decision making, in addition to show the “expertise” of the Bank in various specialty areas.

Standard Bank in the SME Conference

Standard Bank was represented at the conference by a stand to promote and sell products and services. The conference was on “Opportunities of credit for investment in SMEs-Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and the role of insurance,” which occurred on April 18, at the Joaquim Chissano Conference Centre in Maputo.
