History

The Standard Bank Group ("SBG") is Africa's largest banking and financial services institution.

The holding company is based in Johannesburg. South Africa, and is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange as Standard Bank Group Limited.

Stanbic Africa Banking Group ("Stanbic Africa") has banks in 19 other African countries outside South Africa, making it one of the largest banking operations on the continent. The services provided by the various Stanbic Africa operations range from retail banking to corporate and project finance, treasury, trade finance and commercial banking.

Standard Bank SARL ("SBM") has an extensive track record and is regarded as one of the local market leaders. It has been operating in Mozambique for over 121 years.
