Citizenship

The purposes of this initiative are to drive the effective enjoyment of citizenship by the most destitute populations and to foster financial inclusion, by means of issuing free Identity Cards, Birth Certificates and taxpayer numbers (NUITs).

Since its launch in 2011, the project has covered all the provinces of Mozambique, having already benefited more than 50,000 (fifty thousand) people in the country’s three regions.
