Who we are

Mission

Standard Bank’s Business Incubator was inaugurated on 11 August 2017.

It was born as a space to, first, aggregate more value to Standard Bank’s service proposal to its business customers, by supplying tools to expand business, as well as interaction opportunities between companies.

Secondarily, the Incubator was born to help young people to structure their business ideas, as well as to encourage them to create undertakings that have impact on the community, helping to resolve day-to-day issues simply and creatively, in addition to creating employment for other persons.

Strategic Vision

The Business Incubator is an undertaking designed in the context of Standard Bank’s vision and strategy, whose materialisation implies the implementation of initiatives that foster innovation and entrepreneurship, which are the drivers or boosters of the Country’s economic growth.

The space was conceived with a view to creating an environment favourable to a business in its first years of existence, also ensuring the insertion of the undertaking in the competitive market in a gradual and programmatic manner.

Designed to boost inclusive growth, with the construction of bases for a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem, the incubator operates on the basis of five pillars, namely Ideation, Incubation, Acceleration, Local Content and Inclusive Growth.

In addition to the physical space, the incubator has an offer that ranges from training to interaction with other companies and governmental bodies or entities, with a view to creating conditions for the emergence and establishment of sustainable undertakings, which will have a positive impact on the economy and its value chain, generating wealth and financial inclusion for citizens.
