FEIMA branch opened
As parts of the efforts to become even closer to customers, Standard Bank opened on July 7th a branch in the city of Maputo.
The FEIMA branch, a name which originated from the fact that it is located next to the Arts and Crafts, Flowers & Food Fair from Maputo (FEIMA), on Mao Tse Tung Avenue, consists of two floors and serves customers from the Executive, Affluent, Standard and Business Banking segments.
Built all the way from the ground in 2014, the FEIMA branch is the largest from Standard Bank in terms of size, and also is, among many aspects, composed of private rooms for dedicated service to customers and more than five counters, including one for large deposits, in addition to three ATMs, one of which is part of the SIMO network.
According to Tomaz Salomão, Chairman of the Board of Directors from Standard Bank, the opening of this branch, besides reflecting the growth of the bank, “meets the requests from Central Bank to have more banking institutions to meet the financial needs of the public as well as to help families manage their savings”.
“In this context, we are committed to make this branch an example of excellence in serving the public through the provision of financial services and products that respond to all their needs, from individual to business needs”, said Tomaz Salomao.
The branch opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Municipal Council of Maputo, David Simango who, in his speech, highlighted the contribution of Standard Bank in the growth of the municipality through the provision of financial services to citizens.
The Director of the Maputo branch from the Central Bank, Carla Timoteo, emphasized in her speech the wide range of electronic channels that Standard Bank has (Internet Banking, Mobile Banking and the extentive network of ATMs and POS`s), which improves the level of quality of financial services provided to its customers.
“The features and functionalities that have been presented at this branch shows us the benefits of the use of cutting edge technologies in the areas of telecommunications, data processing and safety of people and values, in order to strengthen its market positioning, improving its competitiveness”, said Carla Timoteo.
