More than 2,000 people visited the 2nd edition of the Standard Bank Mozambique Motorshow, which took place between 7th and 8th September, at Praça da Independência, in Maputo, involving a total of five dealers and an insurance company.

This event results from the partnership between Standard Bank and the mozambican publicly-owned company, Petromoc-Petroleos de Moçambique, and aims to provide entrepreneurs and private individuals with a space where they can find financing solutions for equipment, such as cars or machinery in a specialized way, according to the specific needs of each customer at competitive prices.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, held on September 6th, Tomaz Salomão, chairman of the Board of Directors of Standard Bank, said “the Standard Bank Mozambique Motorshow is a car show that comes as part of the government’s efforts to empower Small and Medium scale Enterprises, facilitating their access to the means of production and business support”.

The chairman of the Board of Directors of Petromoc, Alberto Chande, said in turn, that “Standard Bank, one of the reference banks that finances imports of fuel to the country, is also one of our reference banks in financing our investment portfolio”.

After examining the cars and requesting the simulation of leasing for a light motor vehicle, the visitant Guambe, accompanied by his wife, said: “I liked some of the Kia and Hyundai models, so I’m negotiating with my wife for a possible acquisition”.
