Standard Bank connects Mozambican and Brazilian businessmen

Standard Bank promoted, Tuesday, March 31st, in Maputo, a round table discussion for the establishment of business partnerships between the Brazilian business mission, which visited Mozambique between the 29th to 31st March, and Mozambican investors, including customers of this financial services provider.

During the meeting, promoted by Standard Bank, various opportunities that Mozambique offers were presented, and the Brazilians expressed great interest in issues related to electricity production infrastructure and urban transport.

Standard Bank Managing Director, Chuma Nwokocha, said, that in addition to contributing to the government efforts to attract foreign investment, the initiative aims to encourage the establishment of business opportunities in the country.

“We have specialized service units to support entrepreneurs from the design phase to the finance of projects. Our branch network covers areas of increased economic activity and viability in the country which allows us to be close to our clients and facilitate the establishment of business”, said Chuma Nwokocha.

In another development, speaking about the Standard Bank role in the national and international business linkage, the new Managing Director from Standard Bank highlighted the fact that this institution belongs to a group with a strong presence in Africa and with offices in Europe, Asia, North and Latin America, including Brazil, to help facilitate business between Africa and the rest of the world, placing it in a strong position to remain one of the most dynamic banks in Mozambique.
