Standard Bank employs top graduates from UEM

During the recently held 5th graduation ceremony in Maputo

of the Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM), Standard Bank offered, to the top three graduates in Economics, Management and Accounting and Finance, checks amounting to 35 thousand Meticais each, and also immediate recruitment as effective staff of the Bank.

Crescência Matsinhe - Management, Carla Maria Cumbana- Accounting and Finance and Fernando Feliciano Jane – Economics, were the graduates awarded.

Speaking moments after the prize giving ceremony, the Training and Development Manager from Standard Bank, Augusta Namashulua, said that the offer is part of the graduates development program that this financial institution has been implementing since 2007.

“This is directly linked to Standard Bank´s strategy which is to attract, retain and develop the human potential that the country offers”, she said. Augusta Namashulua further explained that the program aims to professionally train young Mozambican graduates, who are willing to embrace a career in banking.

The 5th graduation ceremony of UEM graduated a total of 850 students with bachelor degrees, master`s degrees and doctoral degrees in various courses offered in the eldest higher education institution in the country, including arts and social sciences, engineering, economics, medicine, law among others.
