Standard Bank finances houses Intaka project
Standard Bank, in partnership with FFH – Housing Development Fund, signed the contracts for the first five houses of the Intaka project, acquired through bank financing in Maputo, on July 9.
The contract signing act results from various campaigns that Standard Bank promoted to its customers, to acquire houses through bank financing.
According to Paula Fernandes from the Housing Credit Department at Standard Bank, these customers have benefited from quality services that the bank offers to purchase real estate at subsidized rates.
“Standard Bank offers adequate monitoring and advisory to its customers for the purchase of real estate”, said Paula Fernandes highlighting some financial products that the bank offers to customers, namely the “Credit Housing” and “Equity Release”.
The Director of Personal and Business Banking at Standard Bank, Chuma Nwokocha, explained that part of the objectives of Standard Bank is to support the Mozambican citizens, especially the youth, to have access to housing.
“Therefore, we are honored to see that these young people finally, achieve their dreams of having their own houses”.
After signing the contract, Olinda Pipe, one of the beneficiaries, said that the support of Standard Bank helped to accomplish her dream of many years, “I am fulfilled. I am very satisfied, this is the fulfillment of a dream“, she explained.
On his turn, the General Director of FFH and Henan Guojin Estate, Borges da Silva said that Standard Bank’s involvement in this project represents a step further in the consolidation of the project for the construction of five thousand houses.
“This act that we have just witnessed was important for people to understand that it is already possible to buy houses via commercial banks because all the necessary conditions are in place”, he concluded.
