Standard Bank presents digital solutions at MozTech

As the financial partner of MozTech, Standard Bank participated in the third edition of the digital fair, which took place between the 11th and 13th of May, where the bank exhibited a set of banking solutions, which are designed to allow customers quick and instant access, making banking experience unique.

One of the great news that Standard Bank presented in the 3rd edition of MozTech is the new Mobile Banking, whose attributes include the integration with SmartWatch, customization, instant transfers within the SIMO Network and use of SMS or token for authorization of transactions. 

The new Mobile Banking also allows the authorization of transactions with the fingerprint feature.

In order to make the client experience more autonomous and intuitive, since the client will operate independently most of the operations so far handled in branches, Standard Bank introduced digital kiosks and ATMs for deposits.

During the event, the managing director of Standard Bank, Chuma Nwokocha participated in the panel about “desintermediation: Challenges and solutions applied in banking”, where he spoke about this topic. Previously, Chuma Nwokocha took part in the opening ceremony of the digital fair, and explained that the challenge of Banking at present is to follow technological innovation in order to provide services with simplicity, speed and security from any electronic device.

In his speech, the managing director said that in general, “banks have a responsibility to provide practical solutions that can make Mozambique a country in which every citizen has access to financial services in a simplified way, using a mobile phone or electronic device, no matter where he or she is”.

“We have to walk together with our customers in the use of technology, like the first world countries. To do this we bring to Mozambicans, particularly to customers from Standard Bank, the opportunity to make banking operations in the wrist watch through the integration of our Mobile Banking with the SmartWatch, which allows the user verification and code by fingerprint” he added.
