In another development, Carlos Vaz added that “the food baskets contain basic foodstuffs so that they can spend the festive season, when they are discharged. Meantime, they can play with the toys to pass the time in a fun way”.

In addition to toys and food baskets, Standard Bank offered artificial milk for premature babies in order to contribute to the Government’s efforts to reduce child mortality”.

On her turn, Elsa Taibo, representative of the Pediatrics Wards of the Jose Macamo General Hospital, thanked the bank for the initiative and described Standard Bank as a partner that has brought joy to children admitted to the Ward, and helped to meet the needs of that facility.

“These moments contribute to a fast recovery of these children. This initiative from Standard Bank, which is a faithful partner of our hospital, particularly the Pediatrics Wards is praiseworthy”, considered Elsa Taibo.
